I was just thinking of these rhymes today for some reason and I wanted to share, my thoughts.
We went to the lake yesterday it was very fun! That is until Daisy fell asleep in the car and woke up crying, as soon as I unbuckled her seat belt I realized she was burning up, she had a fever of 101.7. She said her ear hurts. Daisy had her first ear infection at 5 weeks old, she had her first set of tubes at 7 months old and then a little over a year ago she had her second set of tubes and her adenoids removed. Until yesterday she has been doing great, I take that back she did have one ear infection last year. Well the Doctor at the urgent care even let me look at her ear the tube was out and just laying inside her ear ready to fall out and sure enough she has a major ear infection and she also has tonsillitis, again!
She has really suffered with her tonsils and her ears, and I don't know how she will get better until they remove them! The ENT wants her to weigh at least 35 pounds and she finally weighs 36 so maybe just maybe we are getting some where. Luke hasn't had one ear infections since his tonsils were removed.
So today we are laying around, I am holding my baby girl while she is still spiking a fever and trying to make her feel better.

Poor baby! Hope she feels better soon!
The rhyme that gets me is Mary Mary Quite Contrary.
Poor Daisy! Praying for a speedy recovery!
Poor Daisy. A lot of kids have this problem with the tubes falling out, don't they? Hope she's well soon.
I don't like very many nursery rhymes either. Refuse to sing Rock a bye baby. Have you ever heard little bunny foo foo?
* I just make up my own songs and rhymes. Like Madi Patty Cake!
I *puffy heart* your blog design, girlie!
Poor Daisy! I'm sending prayers your way, okay?
My daughter had hers out at 3 for the same reason, best decision we ever made! She's 8 now and hasn't had 1 infection!
Poor little girl. I hope she feels better.
Collodial silver and chiropractic!
:)
I know, I am not one of those nuts, but it really helps.
My 10 yr old had a TON of ear infections as a baby, and when the pediatrician suggested we put him on antibiotics again (while he was still on antibiotics) I started to look for other answers. :)
You might check into it...you can get all kinds of good information if you really sift through the internet. (Or if you have a chiropractor...ask them about it.)
Good luck!

oh man, what a big bummer. i have known so many poor kids w/ the whole tubes, infections, throat, etc. problems! i do hope things work out soon for you all. pitiful, just pitiful to think of you holding her w/a fever...and i've never met ya in real life...how's that for sympathy?!
btw...little miss muffet is mine lately. did you read my spider post. i officially hate nursery rhymes now.
ps...your blog is gettin' more and more perdy these days. love the header!
I watched a show tonight (and read an article in People magazine a while back) about a guy who took colloidal silver and his skin turned blue. It's a disorder called argyria.
Apparently, collodial silver works for some, but the side effects -- if they show up -- are irreversable. FYI.
Ok..The Maid..our little girl is NEVER going to take the Colladial Silver! I just saw a show last night on the "blue man" who injests the stuff and puts it on his face and turned blue. No homiopathic remedies for our baby girl when it comes to her ears. Sorry HM..hope you post this!
Dear Twice Blessed Mommy...
The problem with the media is that they tend to freak out the public with half-truths or misinformation.
First of all, the man that turned blue was drinking thirst busters each day full of pure colloidal silver protein products.
There are several types of silver compounds and the type that we have used is called an Ionic silver and is light sensitive and sold in tiny little bottles. You would go broke making and drinking that much silver daily.
Ionic silver products, when taken according to the manufacturers recommended dosage, will not cause argyria, a condition that causes the skin to turn blue-gray.
I am not trying to convince you to use it...I am just telling you that it has worked for us and we use it sparingly. (Atomizer sprays for the back of the throat...when sick maybe gargle and swallow one teaspoon...and an eye dropper (one drop at a time) for eye and ear infections.)
Do your own research...don't listen to the guy who showed up looking like a smurf on Oprah.
Here is a helpful site:

There are dangers and side effects with everything...one guy turning blue compared to how many people get adverse reactions and even die from medications they are prescribed would be an interesting comparison.
We tend to err on the natural side of things...and don't immunize either.
Just read the list of life-threatening or debilitating side-effects that immunizations cause.
I say to each his own, however, don't be misinformed.
And dear Happy Mommy...sorry to have started a controversy on your blog. I do hope you print this response as well...or at least forward it to your aunt.
:)
God Bless,
The Maid
Now Now ladies!!! I love you all, and as far as immunizations and using silver as a medication to each there own! We all love our children and that is apparent from our blogs, and we want to provide the best health care for them when they are ill and as bloggers we want to share with other moms what we have learned and if giving information can save someone's child from alot of pain please share! Becky~ Thank you so much for caring enough about me and my family to share what has worked for you, the ear issues have been a very big problem for Luke as well as Daisy and I will do some research for myself, but I do know your recommendation was just that, you have seen it work for your family and you don't want my baby to suffer and if I knew something that worked for me I would share it with you too!Thank you! TBM~ you know I love you, and I know you love me! Thank you for sharing as well, I will again check into some of these issues.
As for Daisy she is going for a surgical consultation next thursday because her tonsils are septic they are no longer doing the job they need to do, and as far as HD and I are concerned they need to go! After Luke had his removed he has never again had an ear infection or strep throat.
I love that you all care enough to leave me comments keep them coming! I love you all!
