WFMW- Beautifully painted nails

For this weeks post I wanted to share a little nail secret I have.  Last week Becky commented on my nails and I wanted to let you all know it is really easy...
We live out in the country so I know this won't work for everyone but it works for me.  Anytime we are heading out, to the store or church or even a play date, it takes at least 30 minutes.  So what I do is I buckle the kids in the car, I turn our radio on to a funny song like something from Trout Fishing in America (if you have never heard of them you need to get the CD today) and then I buckle up and paint my nails.  I bring a paper towel along just in case...  It gives my nails the time to dry while I drive and I have never had them smudge that way.  I works for my 2 year old daughter too, I paint her toes while she sits in  her car seat, or sometimes I do it while she is in her highchair.  There you have it very simple, but it makes me feel complete when my nails are done!

Soooo purty! The only problem is I am so CLUMSY and would end up spilling it! Explain that one to the hubby!?

A smart use of otherwise wasted time. I usually just spend my driving time yelling. JK. :)

What a fun idea. I have a trick too. I paint them, but I don't worry about staying in the lines...I just make sure I can hop in the tub so the overlap of polish comes off. Makes for a perfect pedi/mani.

I knew you would be a cutie-patootie in your glasses!

Wow...two shout outs this week! You rock. :)

Thanks for "blogging to me" like that. It is so fun to see my name in HTML. :)

And that is a great tip...painting on the go. I already do it with makeup. Mascara goes on so much better flying down the freeway at 80 mph. Don't you think?

Great idea! My problem is that I leave the polish on too long and it starts chipping and looking incredibly tacky! Yours are beautiful, though!

That would not fly in our car. If my husband found out that I brought nail polish along -- he'd flip! Mostly because I spill or drop EVERYTHING that I touch. Sooner or later, I would have a red steering wheel!

Blessings!

I've been known to do this, but my husband says that my kids are getting poisoned by the fumes. He's obviously paranoid and doesn't realize the importance of pretty nails.
