Sincerely Fro Me To You ~ age 4 or 5

Today is my 200th post!
The picture today is of myself on the far right, next is my cousin Justin, then his brother Adam and my cousin Emily.  We are in my Great Grandparents back yard maybe for a birthday or holiday of some kind.
We all used to love to get together we would play for hours in our Grandparents basement pretending to be a family of bunnies.  We would eat and giggle and have a great time!  I think I was bossy though...

Justin and Emily are both Teachers now, I guess that runs in the family.  Adam is married with 2 children and is doing well.  Emily is a wonderful Christian woman who I don't get to see often enough.  Our Great Grandparents are no longer with us, and I really miss the family get together's, we see even less of each other now that my grandparents and mother have moved to live closer to us.  My great grandma was a wonderful cook and I think of her often, I wear her apron all the time, and love to cook just like she did.

Go over to We Are THAT Family for more great old photo's!

Happy 200th post. What a great accomplishment!

And your comment on mine today made me cry. I can't image what Twice Blessed Mommy went thru with two babies born so early! God is Good!

That is such a cute picture. I have never seen that one before. I miss them too and your Great Aunt as well. Wish we all lived closer. Maybe one of these days we can have a BIG reunion. I would love for all the kids to meet each other.

Wow, the quality of that photo is really great. I'm a child of the 70's and 80's and all my old photos basically stink!

I was born in 78 so this picture was probably taken in 82 or 83... As for the quality, my uncle Steve (Justin and Adam's Father) has always been one for taking pictures, and has always had a great camera, he has always lined us up and taken yearly family photo's so I am sure this photo is his handy work!
I have a really good HP scanner that helps too!

This picture was taken in 1984. Emily got that little pink jumper for her second birthday -- that's how I know. Possibly Mother's Day? Or just one of those Sundays we all got together.
Katie was asleep. I remember that day well.... Grandma said I was going to spoil Katie by holding her all the time. She felt Katie would be too dependent on me.
I guess Katie overcame that when she moved to China?
If at all possible, I do plan to come your way this summer. I miss our get-togethers.
And yes, you were bossy. I think it was the little mommy coming out in you. Someone had to tell those other kids what to do!

i usually don't comment, but i felt compelled to after a rather interesting picture like that showed up. i think uncle steve snapped it a little too soon for me and adam. we weren't ready!

i loved playing bunnies in grandma and grandpa fannin's basement. remember the footprints that were on the walls and ceilings? that used to scare me. adam would make up stories about the boogieman, etc. ahh..those were good times. what i wouldn't give to eat another meal at grandma's.

and you? bossy? of course not! ;)

Stacy~ it's so funny how grandma's think you spoil your baby by holding them! We hope you do come this summer it will be fun! I will cook us all a feast!

Emily~ Nothing like a picture of yourself on the internet to make you comment! I hope you can come with your mom if she makes it this way this summer! And yes I remember how Adam used to try and scare us. Boys are so funny like that, my boys try and scare "Daisy" all the time!

What a sweet photo. It looked so...today! It didn't have that 'old' look to it. The little guy in the brown sandals was the only thing that looked a bit...old. Would be Crocs or Vans today!

Be blessed.
