A movie review and a question

We went to see Prince Caspian this evening.  We have a theater that has a 50 cent deal that's 50 cents per person can you believe that only 50 cents.  We asked my mother and grandparents to come with us, so we made a real family affair of it.
I love the Chronicles of Narnia!  HD has been reading them to us since last year.  We finished up the 4th book which is Prince Caspian on our drive home from Fort Lauderdale, HD actually read the entire book on the car ride home it was great!
I really liked the movie and I say liked because I loved the book.  The movie was Hollywood.  Some of my favorite parts of the book were changed completely and some things in the movie were not even in the book.  A part I did not like was that the movie made King Peter out to be some what selfish and uncaring of the Narnians which is totally not true.  A part of the movie that I did like was at the end Queen Susan kissed Prince Caspian.
I do recommend seeing the movie it was a good movie but even more I recommend reading the book.

Have any of you bloggers even gotten a nasty mean or hateful comment?  I did today and it really makes you feel funny.  I am always open to kind suggestions even if I disagree, but talking bad about my children and husband is unacceptable and will never be published, really does someone think I would publish something crude about my family, this blog is a constant testament of how much I love my family.  I love all of you blog friends I have made and your comments make my day and I know many of you pray for me which means much more than sweet words.  The nasty comment was really hateful and just through me for a loop because I find so much joy in sharing with you all.  Thank you to all of you who encourage me and are willing to read my blog and laugh with me!

I'm so sorry you got a nasty comment! I've never gotten a mean comment, but I've gotten a few very weird ones that I deleted right away.

It sure does make you feel funny to get snarky comments.

I'm sorry. I love your blog, it is very sweet and your love for your family is very evident in what you write.

So, forget about that mean comment! :o)

I have been reading your blog for awhile now, quite impressed I should add!

Because of your last entry, I'm going to finally comment. I love reading your blog and getting a glimpse at how your family interacts. You seem like such a wonderful, God-loving person. Thanks for blogging and sharing with the rest of us!

My hubby and I felt the same way about Prince Caspian. But we would recommend it too.

I'm so sorry someone was rude to you! I've had a couple of those...I think some people just go around and do that! Delete it, girl and don't give it a second thought. Because you and your family are the sweetest!

I am so sorry this happened to you. I enjoy reading your blog so much because you are positive and encouraging and real. Be encouraged that that one person does not represent the majority of your readers.

I am sorry to hear that. Obviously ignorance. But still freaky none the less. Atleast you moderate your comments. Not that it takes the sting away, but then the junk isnt on your blog.

Blessings.

Sorry to hear you had bad feedback. I have had some of that from "friends" and it makes me want to leave a poopy diaper on their doorstep.

I hope it wasn't me that left the nasty comment...I sometimes think I sleepwalk...and wouldn't that be wierd if I went to the computer and left hate mail.

LOL (kind of)

PS - We enjoy your blog and your sharing and your photos and all that jazz...so keep on keeping on.

We went to see the Prince Caspian a while back. I was totally confused because I had not seen the first one and it has been YEARS since I read it.
I loved the costumes and scenery.
Holly had a slumber party and one of the topics was "Who is hotter, Caspian or Peter?"

Sorry about the nasty comment! Don't let it ruin your day - some people are just like that . . .

Fortunately I haven't had that experience yet, though I've had a couple of comments I had to read twice to make sure they weren't putdowns . . .:)

I have not seen any of those movies...yet! I think it's great you all went together and wow 50 cents! If you recommend the book when Madi gets a little older I'll read it to her. Sometimes we read up to 20 books a day.
The only bad comment I got so far was from that lonely guy. But it was creepy enough for me. Sorry, to hear that you got a nasty one. Was it from a stranger or someone you have talked to before?

I'm sorry you got a bad comment. I don't see what the point of that is. There are so many places to comment; just go where you like what people say. Seems simple. Still, I know I would dwell on it b/c that's just the kind of fun person I am. I hope you're not!

hmph...who said that stuff, let me at 'em!? glad to hear you don't let someone else ruin your joy and blessings in blogging. i'm sure it does hurt a little so way to keep your chin up girl!

so glad you wrote about prince caspian. my boys want to see it and now that its at our dollar theater we're thinking more seriously. i was worried it was too scary? moms...always over sensitive!

keep writing from your heart and using that delete button when necessary! we love ya.

This is for "gotta grow with it".
The movie does have some scary scenes with a lot of violence. I guess it just depends on the age of your boys. My son is 9 and it really bothered him. There was a scene where some of the Narnians got trapped behind some iron gates while trying to make an escape from an attack-gone-worng. My son realized that they were trapped and slaughtered. He worried over this quite a bit. It was disturbing and sad. ... But my son is a very sensitive little guy who thinks TOO much....
Hope this helps.

Sorry to read you got a bad comment. If it is any consolation to you, I read somewhere once that when you "make it big" in bloggyworld, you can expect to receive negative comments. I have no idea what was said, but am sorry to read you were hurt... take comfort in the fact that it means you "made it big!"

I found your blog today. I am a newbie to home school this year. As for the nasty comment, I got one too recently and "funny" is a great word to describe the way it makes you feel. No fun at all, the next day my brother asked me why I removed his email. :) He is such a prankster but I didn't enjoy that feeling. I now approve all comments! Thanks for sharing your life.
